The Health Project
About the Project
With the tremendous growth of medicine and healthcare services worldwide, it is important to understand how healthcare is connected globally. If you have a passion for helping those in need and a desire to gain valuable exposure in medical environments, the Outreach Experience Foundation’s Medical Care Volunteer & Internship Program is the perfect opportunity for you.
Medical Volunteer Project – Arusha & Kilimanjaro
This project is based in Arusha and Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, along the slopes of Mount Meru, Mount Kilimanjaro, and the Pare Mountains. Volunteers can choose to work in either urban hospitals or rural community clinics, offering diverse experiences in different healthcare environments.
Medical care is a basic human right, yet many medical centers in Tanzania face challenges in meeting community needs. Through this project, we partner with both government and church-based hospitals, where there are sufficient staff and patients, providing volunteers with meaningful learning opportunities.
By joining this project, medical volunteers and interns gain exposure to the healthcare realities of Africa, develop valuable skills, and experience a new culture while making a lasting impact.
